The purpose of this work is to compare proverbs with the concept of "family" in the modern Russian language. The institution of the family in the traditional sense is of great importance for the whole people, and this is reflected in the proverbs of different languages. The author divided proverbs that reveal family relationships into three groups. Each of these groups was also divided into several subgroups.
